05 Jun A good word at the right time can do miracles
My fears are already in the past. I am happy with a beautiful daughter and a wonderful, loving person by my side. However, I have not forgotten the confusion of feelings that I experienced when I learned about my unplanned pregnancy. Children had never been a part of my plans!
I am glad that I learned about the Crisis Pregnancy Center. The conversations with the Center’s psychologist helped me to calm down, concentrate, and believe that everything would be fine!
After all, many women experience unplanned pregnancies, but succeed in giving birth to, and raising children, who are happy and loved. It turns out that half of all Europeans are “unplanned”!
Therefore, I want to invite women – talk, share, help each other. If you see a future mother who is facing a crisis, offer her help and let her know what resources are available. And there really is help out there! And even if it seems that our help is not needed, we should still ask. Because sometimes outward appearances are deceptive – a seemingly calm woman might be suffering from a huge crisis.
I became a volunteer at the Crisis Pregnancy Center so I could help women who are currently undergoing a crisis pregnancy; women who are single, disturbed, scared, and financially unsafe; women who need support. Believe me; a good word at the right time can do miracles. Sometimes it even saves lives. So let’s talk. Because there is always a way out.
